Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay Hassan has opened an exhibition showcasing the 12th Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Award for Arabian Horse Photography at the 17th El Jadida Horse Show, bringing together images that celebrate the Arabian horse and the equestrian traditions of the region.

During his visit, the crown prince viewed a selection of entries and received a briefing from the award’s organisers on participation in this year’s competition and its four categories: the beauty of the Arabian horse, equestrian events and festivals, Morocco’s traditional Tbourida displays, and video.

Moulay Hassan spoke with members of the award team about the images on display, their creative approaches and the photographers’ efforts to capture the distinctive features and movement of Arabian horses. He praised the artistic standard of the entries and the talent demonstrated by participating photographers.

The award is supported by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE vice president, deputy prime minister and chairman of the Presidential Court. It aims to preserve the heritage of the Arabian horse while encouraging photographers, including emerging artists, to explore its cultural significance through visual storytelling.

Senior Moroccan officials, ambassadors and other guests attended the visit. At the end of the tour, the crown prince expressed appreciation for Sheikh Mansour’s continued support for the award and for cultural cooperation between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
The winners of the award’s 12th edition are due to be announced on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, at a ceremony held as part of the El Jadida Horse Show.
